Our father, R’ Leiby Hirsch Z”L, was approached by Rabbi Hershkowitz, the founder of Tomche Shabbos in Boro Park, over 45 years ago - when he was still a single bochur - to help raise some funds to get the then fledgling organization of the ground. He did just that, and never stopped for the rest of his life!

Each Rosh Chodesh, for over four decades - he would approach friends and acquaintances in the shuls in his neighborhood and solicit funds for the needy in his neighborhood. He would get people to commit to a monthly amount no matter how small, and each month he would deliver a significant check to Tomche Shabbos.

To carry on his legacy, and to perpetuate his tremendous zechusim, we would like to continue this tremendous chesed and continue supporting the admirable eforts of Tomche Shabbos l’zecher nishmaso.
